The Art Of Noise

The Seduction Of Claude Debussy (ZZT Records)

In the era of the one hit wonder where everything on an artists album sounds alike, The art of noises', The Seduction Of Claude Debussy is a refreshing break from this pattern. Unfortunately, done on purpose, it sounds a lot like a "Soundtrack to a film that was never made". Interesting? Yea. Creative? Yes. Entertaining? Hard to say. AON Uses almost everything imaginable on this album, drum, bass, bass beats, electronic everything, synth symphonies, sax, nylon string guitar, piano, and alot more I probably missed. AON has created complicated music that is difficult to relax listing to, and even harder to use as a background to daily life. Abrupt time changes and sounds of jungle beats to operatic singing are a little to harsh for this casual listener. Two tracks, where guest musician Rakim makes an appearance, I feel are the highlights of the album. Hip hop lyrics, and samples blend well with the faster, and less "artsy" music done on these tracks.
